Sports Day was this past Wednesday May 30th and was a great success! The Rising Star kids were so busy this week preparing and decorating for this annual event. This years event was sponsored by Mona Vie through their More Project.
Each paper pendant was added one by one.
Each chalk line was measured and laid by hand.
After all their practicing and preparation the day was finally here. The kids dressed in their white pants and their new More Project t-shirts gathered on the field and in the audience.
Sally Read and Rachelle Ostler greeted the guests before the Opening Ceremony.
The Program consisted of:
Prayer Song by the Rising Star Outreach children.
Welcome Address by Kshitish Kooparaty the School Board Chairman
Flag Raising by Sally Read Rising Star Outreach President and David Ostler the National Director
Flag Song was then sung by the Rising Star Outreach children.
Marching
Lighting of the Torch and Declaration that the Meet is Open.
Events started with the running events.
