Changing the World

Our Life Dance Troupe had the amazing opportunity to perform at the Mona Vie convention this past weekend in front of 3,500 people.  It was a miracle in the making, and these Rising Stars are well on there way to changing the world.  I know for a fact that they changed the hearts of 3,500 people that night.  Let me start with week before the event.

Exactly a week before the event, it was planned to take place in Chennai.  Chennai is about a two hour drive and would take some arrangements to be made, but there was no question that we would be at the event.  On Monday, we were informed that the venue had been changed to Coimbatore, a town 10 hours away.  AHHH.  For us to be able to attend, Mona Vie would have to reserve a place for our Rising Stars to stay and transportation to get to Coimbatore. Mona Vie was very busy with there change of venue so communication was minimul and unclear so we informed the kids that we are working on going but nothing is set in stone.  On Wednesday during Life Dance rehearsal, Shaun Parry informed the students that no information had been given to us yet, and it was still unclear if we would be able to attend.  Our Rising Stars then requested to have a group prayer.  Manodhaya led the Life Dance Troupe in a prayer, followed by 18 individual silent prayers given by each member.

Thursday came and still no word on whether we would be attending the event.  All of the volunteers had children walking up to them saying, "You will be going, I prayed for you." On Thursday night at 6:30pm, Dr. Susan informed Life Dance that they would be leaving at 6:00am the next morning to go to Coimbatore.  I really do believe that the faith of these children at Rising Star is what got us to this event.

After an 11 1/2 hour drive and 6 students throwing up, Life Dance finally arrived in Coimbatore Friday night.  Saturday consisted of a quick rehearsal on the stage and the major performance took place at 10:00pm that night.  The kids danced so beautifully and poured their hearts out to the people in the audience.  There truly was not a dry eye in room.  I have attached a video that shares pictures from throughout the trip and a clip of each dance.  These Rising Stars are truly going to CHANGE THE WORLD!!

Best reguards until next time!
